Trip Description

Come Back to Israel.
This is a ONE BUS tour with Dr. Michael Rydelnik!!

If you’ve been to Israel before, and always wanted to go back for a deeper look, join us October 24-Nov 4, 2019 for a Deeper Look ~ Messianic Journey Through Israel. This Deeper Look Tour is perfect for everyone who has been to Israel before. This unique tour  will explore the Land on a more extensive, and seldom taken, path from the Northern Galilee to the Negev. There will be an emphasis on discovering your Biblical heritage by taking a deeper look at sites that are beyond the time limit of classic Israel tours. Scripture from Genesis and the Prophets, to the Gospels, Acts and Revelation will come alive and enrich your walk with the Lord.

There is so much more to learn, see and experience in Israel than time allows on a classic Israel tour.  Therefore, the Deeper Look Tour is designed for folks who have been to Israel before, on any Israel tour (not just Messianic Journeys), either recently or years ago. On this Deeper Look Tour you will not re-visit all the sites you’ve seen before, but will go to other important and unexpected places.

For example, we’ll explore Hatzor, one of the largest fortified cities in ancient Canaan, and the evidence of Joshua’s conquest is stunning. We’ll also investigate Gamla, the “Masada of the Galilee,” where Jewish resistance fighters made a last stand against Rome in the North. Then visit, Safed, the “city on a hill” spoken of by Messiah Jesus. All of this and so much more, from Migdal, city of Mary Magdalene with its synagogue certainly visited by Messiah Jesus, to Arad, key Negev city in the days of King David.

This is an exciting  “boots on the ground” experience that will include a hike on Mt. Gilboa, where King Saul died; a camel ride in wilderness of Judea;  a jeep trek on Israel’s Burma Road; lunch in Nazareth Village; and a rare trip to Shiloh where the Tabernacle stood for almost 400 years.

Return to Israel with Dr. Michael Rydelnik to study the Scriptures on location, and gain a deeper understanding of  the LORD’s work in His Land today and the challenges faced by Israel among her neighbors. Explore, as never before, your spiritual heritage and deepen your walk with the Lord as you pray, sing, worship, study, laugh, and learn in “His Holy Land” (Psalm 78:54).

If you’ve always wanted to go back to Israel to see more Biblical sites and reap even more on-location insights into Scripture, we hope you can join us in the Fall of 2019 for our Deeper Look Tour. This is a ONE BUS tour, and is already filling up quickly.   Space is limited, so please register early.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Thursday - 10/24/2019

Depart for a Deeper Look at Israel

Your Deeper Look Messianic Journey begins with your flight to Tel Aviv. Read, chat, study, or sleep and enjoy the travel.

Day 2 - Friday - 10/25/2019

Shalom Israel: Joppa through the Ages

Begin your Deeper Look at Israel by walking the streets of Joppa, a city rich with history from Jonah in the Old Testament to Peter in the New Testament. The significance of this ancient port continued to the Crusader Era, then up to Modern times when the small community of Jews returning to the Land in the 1880s expanded outward and founded the now ultra-modern city of Tel Aviv.

Hotel: West Lagoon Resort Hotel, Netanya

Day 3 - Saturday - 10/26/2019

Mediterranean Coast to Nazareth: Jesus ~ Crusaders ~ British Mandate

Enjoy the views of the Mediterranean Sea on the way North to explore the levels of history in Akko (NT Ptolemais), an important port from the days of Joshua to the Crusades and modern times. On our way to our Galilee hotel, we’ll have lunch and spend the afternoon in Nazareth Village to experience daily life in the time of the Lord Jesus.

Hotel: Rimonim Galei Kinereth, Tiberias

Day 4 - Sunday - 10/27/2019

Galilee North: Joshua ~ Messiah ~ Romans

At the precipice of Gamla, the Masada of Galilee, you’ll experience where Jewish resistance fighters made their last stand against Rome, before the Destruction of the Temple (AD 70.) We’ll visit nearby Katzrin, the “capital of the Golan,” a center of rabbinic thought after the Second Jewish Revolt (AD 135.) You’ve seen Megiddo, now see it’s twin city, Hatzor, with evidence of its destruction by Joshua and gates built by King Solomon for his guard city in Galilee. On the shores of the Sea of Galilee, we’ll see Bethsaida frequently mentioned in the ministry of Messiah Jesus.

Hotel: Rimonim Galei Kinereth, Tiberias

Day 5 - Monday - 10/28/2019

Sea of Galilee: In the Footsteps of Messiah

Get a panoramic view of the Galilee ministry of Messiah Yeshua from Mount Arbel, then visit areas key to the Galilean ministry of the Messiah Jesus. Study the Scriptures where Jesus lived and taught in Capernaum. Visit Migdal the hometown of Miriam (Mary Magdalene), to see the recently discovered first century synagogue where doubtless the Lord Jesus taught. Sail the Sea of Galilee and then enjoy a delicious St. Peter’s Fish lunch overlooking the water. Enjoy ancient, modern and mystical Safed (Tzfat) the highest city in Galilee. It is one of Judaism’s four sacred cities: Jerusalem, Tiberius, Herbron and Safed.

Hotel: Rimonim Galei Kinereth, Tiberias

Day 6 - Tuesday - 10/29/2019

Mt. Gilboa & along the Jordan: Saul ~ Tabernacle ~ Yeshua

We’ll begin by seeing the beautiful mosaics of ancient Beit Alpha synagogue, on the foothills of Mount Gilboa. Then up Mount Gilboa where King Saul, and his sons, died in battle against the Philistines. We will visit Shiloh, where the Ark of the Covenant was kept from the last days of Joshua to the time of Samuel, 369 years, before the Temple was built in Jerusalem. Continuing toward the Dead Sea, you’ll stand on the banks of the Jordan across from Jericho where the Lord Jesus was baptized, and other important biblical events also took place.

Hotel: Isrotel Hotel, Dead Sea

Day 7 - Wednesday - 10/30/2019

Dead Sea: Oasis and Fortress

Hike the Ein Gedi Oasis at the Field School and see the area where David hid from Saul and spared the king’s life. Atop Masada, Herod’s Dead Sea fortress, where the Jewish resistance made their fated last stand against Rome in AD 73, you’ll study the Scriptures in their ancient synagogue and understand their faith in the future restoration of Israel.  Enjoy a free afternoon at our luxurious Dead Sea hotel.

Hotel: Isrotel Hotel, Dead Sea

Day 8 - Thursday - 10/31/2019

Negev & Up to Jerusalem: Reviewing God's Faithfulness

At Arad, you’ll see archaeological evidence from the days of Kings David and Solomon, with unexpected ruins of a Negev temple. In the Judean hills, you’ll discover the first century Jewish city and synagogue of Susya, where Jewish people fled following the Roman destruction of Jerusalem. On our way up to Jerusalem, you’ll become an archaeologist at Beit Guvrin’s Dig for a Day, as you go below ground level to unearth and explore the ancestral area of Herod the Great. When we arrive in Jerusalem, we’ll take time to mourn, remembering those who suffered and perished in the Holocaust by visiting Yad Vashem, and will be reminded of God’s faithfulness in preserving His people from annihilation.

Hotel: Leonardo Plaza Hotel, Jerusalem

Day 9 - Friday - 11/01/2019

Jerusalem: Ancient History and Modern Survival

At the Archaeological Wing of the Israel Museum, you’ll view some of Israel’s most remarkable ancient treasures. Then walk outside to the giant scale model of New Testament Jerusalem to get your bearings before we spend time in the Old City. Since Old Testament times, hilltop Latrun has overlooked the road between the Mediterranean and Jerusalem. This fortress had a key role in the battles of Joshua, as well as 1948 War of Independence and the Six Day War. We’ll take a jeep tour of the Burma Road to experience its significance first hand.

Hotel: Leonardo Plaza Hotel, Jerusalem

Day 10 - Saturday - 11/02/2019

Jerusalem: Celebrating Messiah Jesus

We’ll investigate Herodium, King Herod’s man-made hill-top fortress near Bethlehem. Like the more famous Masada, this was an elaborate fortification for the paranoid king. Herod chose to be buried here, and his tomb was recently discovered. While in the area, we’ll see Shepherds’ Fields where the angels proclaimed the Good News of Messiah’s birth. We’ll enjoy lunch, learning, and a camel ride at Abraham’s Tent. Just outside Jerusalem’s walls, we’ll a celebrate the Resurrection of the Messiah Jesus at the Garden Tomb. On this amazing day, you will be experiencing the earthly life of Messiah Jesus from His birth in Bethlehem to His resurrection in Jerusalem.

Hotel: Leonardo Plaza Hotel, Jerusalem

Day 11 - Sunday - 11/03/2019

Jerusalem: City of the Great King

We’ll go in-depth into the heart of the City of the Great King, the Jewish Quarter of the Old City, as we spend time in the area of the Western Wall and visit the runs of the Herodian Quarter where the High Priest likely lived during the time of Jesus. After exploring the streets and shops of the beautiful Jewish Quarter, we’ll also look at the Treasures of the Temple Mount at the Temple Mount Institute. Our farewell dinner at the hotel will be a time of review and rejoicing before packing for our upcoming flight home.

Hotel: Leonardo Plaza Hotel, Jerusalem

Day 12 - Monday - 11/04/2019

Shalom Israel ~ lehitraot (Good-bye for now)

Saying good-bye to Israel always seems to come too soon, but what you’ve learned on this Deeper Look at the Scriptures in God’s Holy Land will always be in your hearts. As you board your flight, you will say Shalom-lehitraot to Israel and Hello to home. It’s time to begin processing your Israel experience and be further transformed by all you’ve seen and learned of the Lord during your Deeper Look at the sites and Scripture in Israel.
